How Oh Yummy began in Brisbane.

People often ask how Oh Yummy! started...

It wasn't because I'd always dreamed of owning a bakery.

It actually started with a baking mishap.

One day I baked a batch of muffins that just didn't turn out the way I'd hoped.

They were a little too moist and wouldn't come out of the moulds properly.

I couldn't bring myself to throw them away, so I turned them into cake tubs and offered them for free to my local community.

That same night, I received a message from the lady who had tried them. She told me that if I ever sold them, she'd happily buy the next batch.

I still think about that message.

Because if someone loved something I considered an "oops" ... maybe my best baking was worth sharing too.

And that's how Oh Yummy! began.

Funny how one little baking mistake turned into the best thing I'd ever baked.
